Create a course

Add name, term, dates, and assistants if others will help with setup or grading.

Add an assignment

Create the gradable unit students will submit to. Set due dates and expected submission counts in assignment settings.

Where in the app: Inside a course → Assignments

Walk through phases

Each assignment moves through setup, active review, and final checks. Phases confirm the team is ready before grading opens—configuration should be complete before you enable self-paced learning.

Invite assistants

From course settings, invite assistants who can help with configuration and review within that course.
