A rubric defines what good work looks like: dimensions, scores, and expectations.

Design criteria

Open the Rubric builder and add dimensions with score levels and descriptions. Build criteria that match how you would grade by hand.

Finalize a revision

When the rubric is ready, finalize it. That locks a revision you can pin to a grading setup.

You can iterate in the builder, but only a finalized revision can be attached to grading configuration.

Complete your rubric before starting the grading wizard—you will pin this revision in step 2 of Grading.
