Platform

A platform customer operates HBG on behalf of educational institutions—schools, departments, or partners that deliver learning at scale.

Platform teams sit above individual professor workspaces. They keep prompts, courses, and quality consistent across many instructors and orgs.

What platform teams do

Prompt versioning — Manage analysis and feedback prompts across organizations. Control which instruction versions are live, who has access, and how changes roll out.

Course creation and management — Provision course templates, assignment phase patterns, and org-level structure so institutions can launch offerings without rebuilding setup from scratch each term.

Quality control — Monitor grading activity, review audits and feedback signals, and inspect usage to catch drift before it reaches students.

Relationship to other roles

RolePlatform's relationship
ProfessorProfessors run day-to-day courses inside an institution the platform supports
Course assistantAssistants work within professor courses; platform sets org-wide standards they inherit
StudentStudents interact with self-paced learning; platform ensures configuration is sound before go-live

Where in the app

Platform operators use admin surfaces: organizations, prompts, course templates, usage reports, and related inspection tools—not the professor workspace or student portal for daily teaching.
